the impact of rising oil prices. The ongoing disturbance in the global oil market is causing major uncertainty about energy prices. This is the reason for the government to intervene with a package of measures. Although the final decisions have yet to be made, the measures directly impact the entrepreneur's wallet.\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5ff63af3 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5ff63af3\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1357f9c3 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"1357f9c3\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9f2d935 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"9f2d935\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We have listed the most important points for you, divided into the compensations and the costs.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PLEASE NOTE: these are preliminary plans. They will still be subject to debate in the coming period and are not yet final.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><b>Compensations<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of the planned measures, these are the most eye-catching for freelancers:<\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The most important compensation for freelancers will likely be the increase in the mileage allowance from 23 to 25 cents per business kilometer.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another support measure that could be interesting for some freelancers is a subsidy scheme for low- and middle-income earners to switch from an old fossil-fuel car (emission class 1 to 4, like youngtimers) to a second-hand electric car.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There will be a temporary discount on motor vehicle tax for freelancers with a delivery van. This discount amounts to 50% and will apply for half a year (up to and including December).<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Energy Investment Allowance (EIA) will be increased from 40% to 45.5%. Unfortunately, this deduction only applies to very specific investments listed on the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rvo.nl\/subsidies-financiering\/eia\/energielijst\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">energy list.<\/span><\/a><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On a more private level: more funding will be available for the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Energy Emergency Fund<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which can give low-income households with a high energy bill a helping hand this coming winter. A <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heat Fund <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will also be introduced: homeowners with an income below \u20ac60,000 can take out a loan at 0% interest to make their homes more sustainable.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>Costs<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unfortunately, these compensations have to be funded. And it seems the small entrepreneur will also have to chip in:<\/span><\/p><ol><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tax-deductible allowance for new entrepreneurs (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">startersaftrek<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) will be abolished as of 1-1-2027. The private business ownership allowance (<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">zelfstandigenaftrek<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) had already been scaled down for years and would only be \u20ac900 in 2027, but now the starter&#8217;s allowance will also be completely abolished all at once.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The small projects investment credit (KIA) will be scaled back as of 1-1-2027. However, this reduction will (as it looks right now) only apply at the &#8216;top end&#8217;: the maximum investment amount eligible for the KIA will decrease. So, this only has an impact if you make very large investments. For freelancers who do not invest that much, this will have no impact.<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The excise duty on alcohol will be increased.<\/span><\/li><\/ol><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><b>What&#8217;s next?<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As mentioned: this is a proposal.
