What is UNFAIR26?
From 17-20 September, the Gashouder at Westergas transforms into a meeting place for contemporary art. At UNFAIR26, 44 emerging and established artists present new work in their own solo presentations. Rather than a traditional art fair with galleries in between, it’s a place where you can meet the artists and discover their work directly.
And there’s more than just art to see. Across four days, you can join talks and performances, take guided tours, discover art books and special publications at Dear books, and explore and buy Editions. On Saturday, the Gashouder stays open later for a special evening programme featuring performances, workshops, talks and more.
So whether you’re a maker yourself, collect art, or are simply curious about what a new generation of artists is creating, there’s plenty to discover.
Kees supports the next generation
As part of our partnership with UNFAIR26, we’re supporting the Artist Fund.
The Artist Fund provides artists with financial support to develop their presentation for UNFAIR26. What makes it special is its pay-it-forward principle: when work is sold during the fair, part of the proceeds goes back into the fund. This way, one generation of artists helps create opportunities for the next.
Kees de Boekhouder believes in the next generation of makers. As accountants for creative entrepreneurs, we see every day how much talent there is and how important it is to support makers not only artistically, but also as entrepreneurs. Through our contribution, we help the next generation of artists gain visibility, grow, and focus on what they do best: creating.
